domenique.
domenique. (she/her) is an electronic musician, spoken word artist, and storyteller whose work blends poetry writing with emotive, dance-driven production. Her music is rooted in personal experience—shaped by her journey through transition, divorce, and the pursuit of resilience in an era marked by rising transphobia and political extremism. Her music explores themes of change, grief, trans joy, empowerment, and political resistance, using electronic bass music as a medium to convey these emotions.
She began writing music and poetry in 2024 as a way to document her personal story. She released her debut album, 414, in 2026, which is a powerful fusion of dark, midtempo industrial bass music with melodic and ambient sound, and elements of electronic hip hop. Her live performance includes live looping and instrumentation on her ableton push, live piano and vocals, in addition to more straightforward dj sets on cdj’s.
Her biggest influences are Rezz, Pretty Lights, SOPHIE, and Porter Robinson, and incorporates elements of their production techniques into her music. Her music is equally informed by protest traditions and a commitment to preserving trans narratives at a time when they are increasingly at risk. She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her pup Luigi.
